Coaching For Change

What is Coaching?

Most of us have heard of Coaching - but in what context? We know all about famous football coaches and tennis coaches. In addition to these sporting icons we may know someone who has had extra coaching during study, but all of these carry an element of "tuition" - training someone to play a good game or extra tutoring to pass that all-important exam. They all suggest that the person being coached is being told how to do it better....

Personal Coaching (sometimes called Life Coaching) and Business Coaching are very different from the above. The Coach works in a non-directive  manner to help the client identify their goals, to realise their own potential and to make important changes in their personal and professional lives. The coach will not tell you what you should do, but by focused listening and powerful questioning, the coach is able to help their clients believe in themselves, which in turn empowers them to start on that important journey to the place and the person that they really want to be.

"Life is not a rehearsal" - how often have we heard that said? Our lives have a finite span and the clocks are ticking now! So how can we achieve the best life possible? How can we get the very best from our business? The first thing we need to do is become aware of our true potential. We then need to take responsibility for making it happen. In the case of people working in business, it is essential that they too realise that their lives and careers are what they make of them. This benefits both themselves and their companies; truly a 'win - win' situation.

Ask yourself the following questions:

Personal Coaching:-

  • Do you want a better or different life to the one you have now?
  • Is there something about which you keep saying "I'll do that", but you never do?
  • Are your home and working lives just not hanging together?
  • Do you feel in need of ‘time management’?

Business Coaching:-

  • Do you believe you have good staff, but that they don’t seem to work well together?
  • Do members of your team lack motivation?
  • Do they spend too much time pontificating, rather than moving forward?
  • Has a previously effective team "lost it's way"?

If you can identify with any of the above, go to the Personal Coaching or Business Coaching  pages and see how you can start a journey to your own new horizon.
